MixMob: Racer 1 Unveils Latest Alpha Release with Brand New Game Modes

Our team has been working relentlessly, you’ve been waiting patiently, and now it’s finally time to reveal the latest evolution of MixMob: Racer 1 with the launch of our Alpha V2! This iteration of the game comes packing major upgrades and new features, including multiplayer, a second track, new cards, and an innovative way for NFT holders to invite their friends to play — no Mask necessary.

Where the Closed Alpha version of Racer 1 was limited to PVE (Player vs. Environment), the current version of the build supports PVP (Player vs. Player) functionality; a major enhancement, and even more reason to invite your friends to play!

Here are some of the features you have to look forward to in the latest version of the game:

Multiplayer

One of the biggest advances of Alpha V2 is that players will be able to choose between single-player (competing against an AI) or multiplayer, competing against live opponents in real time. If multiplayer is selected, the player will be connected to an online server that will match-make active users with arenas!

As multiplayer is still in the testing stages, this function will be limited to the following weekly windows:

• Thursday from 9AM PT to 11AM PT
• Thursday from 4PM PT to 6PM PT
• Friday 9AM PT to 11AM PT
• Friday from 4PM PT to 6PM PT

Single-player will be open 24/7 throughout the duration of Alpha V2.

A New Greek-Themed Track

Champions are born at Neolympus! Our new track is a battleground for the greatest racers in the Subdomain, and the perfect metaphor for our fight against A-1. Flex your skills and speed against other Raiders in this remixed reality where crypto memes clash with classical themes, immersing racers in a colosseum-like world where things aren’t always what they seem.

New Card Deck

Our brand new “Styler” deck features 15 cards to rain down on your opponent, “remixing reality” with powerful effects. This deck comes complete with a series of new mechanics that make Racer 1 more competitive and exciting. Not only that, our original Alpha deck has been upgraded and optimized with major card enhancements, including 3D projectiles to emphasize attack cards, speed boosts, new UI improvements, revised rebalance of cards and Health system, as well as Pulse Pips.

Tournaments

Once a week, players can compete in tournaments and receive up to 75 SOL in rewards. Tournament winners will be announced two days after PVP arenas close and will be contacted via Discord.

Leaderboards & Prizes

Players can compete for glory and rewards by making our weekly Leaderboards. Every Monday, the top 25 players who won the most games that week will be featured on the PVP or PVE public Leaderboard. If two players win the same number of matches, the player who reached the most wins first will be featured first on the Leaderboard. Prizes will be awarded. More details coming soon.

New UI

Our UI improvements will prepare any player to challenge their opponent. Updates include refreshed Health and Shield meters, supporting card UI, and a highly-request mini-map to simplify gameplay. Through player testing, we were able to narrow down and implement the best Health, Shield, and mini-map options favored by the community.

Referral System

Alpha V2 introduces a referral system where Gen0 Mask holders can invite others to join. Rewards will be given to those who bring in the most players.

How to participate

As of today, Mask holders can access Racer 1 at uprising.mixmob.io. Once you connect your wallet, you will be given a trackable link to share with your friends and community, increasing the player pool and escalating the competition.

If you don’t have a MixMob Mask, go to our website and request an exclusive invite, or buy a Mask in our marketplace.

Players will be able to access Racer 1 twenty-four hours a day for single-player mode. Multiplayer mode will be accessible during specific time-blocked windows weekly on Thursdays and Fridays from 9AM PT to 11AM PT and 4PM PT to 6PM PT.
