It’s almost that time! When our first MixMob: Racer 1 window opens on Thursday at 9AM PT, you’re going to want to be ready. Here’s exactly what you need to do to be prepared — and win — the race.
A quick note before we dive in: this game is best experienced in a Chrome browser.
Pre Alpha kick-off:
1. Log into your wallet
If you don’t have a wallet yet, we recommend Phantom Wallet, one of the most popular and user-friendly options available.
Make sure to record your secret recovery phrase somewhere safe (not on your computer or phone where hackers can access it). If you forget your password and don’t have your recovery phrase, the NFTs in your wallet will be lost.
2. Secure your Gen0 Mask
You will need a Gen0 Mask to participate in our Closed Alpha. Magic Eden is the only place where you can purchase a MixMob Mask; a marketplace on any other blockchain claiming to sell them is a scam. For more information on Mask safety, visit our blog on Mask Security and Authenticity.

3. Go to the game portal
4. Sign the security tooltip
Our security tooltip helps us authenticate your Mask by verifying its metadata and ensuring it was minted by MixMob.
5. Select your Mask and accept our Welcome Package
Our closed-Alpha features free temporary tokens (TMP) that are distributed to players in our Welcome Package. This is a free amount of TMP tokens that can be burned at the next stage of our closed-alpha.

Here is a quick overview of the basic controls, cards, arena fees and rewards:
1. Controlling your Alpha Bot
2. Collect pulses to activate cards
3. Know your Alpha Deck
4. Unleash your cards during the race
5. Arena entry fee and rewards
Token utility
- The TMP token that you receive in your Welcome Package and for winning races/tournaments can be used to pay the 150TMP arena entry fee.
- Inside the arena you will receive 200TMP tokens for each race you win.
- If you win 8 races without losing more than 3 you will receive a 15,000TMP bonus.

Defeating your opponent
The Phantom Bot — your first opponent — is an AI specifically designed by Sub Control to test your skills as an Alpha Pilot and help us gather feedback and improve the quality of our game. By sharing your feedback, you are helping us shape the game and make it the best experience possible.
