MixMob Introduces New Tournament Format & Increases Prize Pool with MixMob: Racer 1 Gen0 Face-Off

Since Alpha V2 closed, we have held a number of exciting tournaments partnering with DAOs like Avocado Guild and Merit Circle. This week, we are excited to introduce a new, more inclusive Tournament format to our community with Leaderboard Tournaments, and we are kicking things off this Friday with our MixMob: Racer 1 Gen0 Face-Off.

How it works

Each Tournament will be made up of 2 different sessions where players can compete against each other as many times as they want in the 1-hour window. At the beginning of each session, the Leaderboards will be reset. At the end of each session, the top 5 players on the Leaderboards will be awarded prizes. In MixMob: Racer 1 Gen0 Face-Off the prize allocation will be as follows:

• 1st Place: $50 USDC
• 2nd Place: $25 USDC
• 3rd Place: $15 USDC
• 4th Place: $10 USDC
• 5th Place: $5 USDC

Date & time

• Window 1: Dec 2 at 5pm UTC — 6pm UTC
• Window 2: Dec 3 at 12am UTC — 1am UTC

New format goals

There are two main reasons why we are trying out this new format:

1. Provide a more exciting tournament format for both competitors and viewers, as players can race as many times as they want in the allotted time period.
2. Give everyone in our international community a chance to compete by offering two shorter tournament windows that facilitate different time zones.

Leaderboard Tournaments also simplify things as they eliminate the need for registration. Instead, players simply show up and start racing!
