Learnings & Updates: Closed Alpha Week 1

Last week, we celebrated the successful launch of our MixMob: Uprising Closed Alpha, which we pulled off relatively seamlessly! We had 581 Alpha Pilots participate over four sessions and awarded a total of 1,842,600 TMP to the winners. We’d like to give a huge thanks to everyone who raced against the Phantom Bot, shared their experience in the community, and submitted feedback.

To continue being transparent with our community during the evolution of the game, we will be sharing our learnings and game updates in a weekly report after each set of sessions. Please have a look at some of the bug fixes and polishing we enacted on the game this week! We can’t wait to hear your feedback after experiencing the improvements firsthand.

Game updates

Bug: Tooltip popup is blank when the player hovers the mouse over the card.

Status: Fixed.

Bug: Phantom Bot skin should be black with red eyes and lines on the main body.

Status: Fixed.

Bug: There should be a welcome package screen for first-time players’ first sign-in.

Status: Fixed.

Bug: Lives and losses have reversed colors on the Race Results and Arena Lobby screens.

Status: Fixed.

Bug: Not enough padding space in the game result screen.

Status: Fixed.

Bug: Game clock changes position when digits change.

Status: Fixed.

Bug: In a race, the keyboard cannot be used to consume props in the game.

Status: Fixed.

Bug: Sometimes, when a player logs into the game, the Unity Screen is shown instead of the Main Menu.

Status: Fixed.

Bug: Player’s in-game ranking is not correct when the finish line is approaching.

Status: Fixed.

Bug: When crossing the lap/finish line, the places of the player and the Phantom Bot switch ranks.

Status: Fixed.

Bug: There’s a part of the race track where the player overtakes the Phantom Bot in ranking but in reality, the Phantom Bot is way ahead in the race.

Status: Fixed.

Bug: When choosing a Mask, there are two identical Masks on the carousel.

Status: Fixed.

Bug: If the player switches the tab where the game is loading and then comes back after it’s done, the game won’t load when transactions are already paid.

Status: Fixed.

Bug: Keyboard key assignments to cards don’t work properly.

Status: Fixed.

Bug: Sometimes, picking up the pulse cell does not collect them

Status: Fixed

Bug: Scrolling at the end of the Card Deck gallery has a clunky/jittery animation

Status: Fixed

Polishing

These changes are ready for testing and will be integrated into the Alpha game when verified

  • Integrated hover effect for textual buttons on the upper menu of game/race screen.
  • Brought arrows closer to the picture when selecting Mask.
  • Added shield UI functionality
  • Toast messages redesigned
